Havasupai Falls

This is a fun blog to post as I believe this is when our true adventurous spirit began together.  We left the comfort of shorter hikes behind us and we started taking on bigger challenges that made us nervous but also excited with the hope of discovering new adventures.

The trip started out in Las Vegas and we quickly hopped in a rental car and headed east to the over hyped tourist destination of Grand Canyon West and the SkyWalk.

After we finished with the out of the way/over priced tourist trap, our REAL trip started. We took a 30 mile dirt road cut through to Route 66 near Peach Springs, AZ to stay at a travel side Bates motel.  Early the next morning around 4am we jumped back into the rental car and drove another 60 miles down a dead end dirt road to a trail head in the dark with no one else in sight. This is when the walking started…
