My Time to Wine

Mendoza, Argentina (map)

Just as Dustin enjoys his beer and cycling jaunts, I enjoy my WINE!

It was heartbreaking throughout Central America when the only wine I could find was Yellow Tail for $35 (in the States it costs about $5 a bottle). However, I knew when we arrived into South America the stars would align and I would get my vino back. One of the highlights for me personally in Argentina was to visit one of the Wine Capitals of the World – Mendoza. I had heard great things about the Wine route there and most tourists opt to do the cycling wine tours.

We decided the same and found ourselves at Mr. Hugo’s Bike rental ready for some wine tastings. Thinking clearly (before all the wine) I decided it might be smart for us to rent a tandem instead of two separate bicycles. Dustin is of course a better cyclist than me and for those who know me, I tend to get a little carried away at vineyard tours. You will notice toward the end of the pictures why the tandem ended up being a wise choice. 🙂
